If you want to have straighter teeth without wearing any metal braces, at J Han Dental Design, we use Invisalign braces for a seamless orthodontic treatment. More than 6 million people worldwide have used Invisalign to straighten their teeth successfully, and we can help you become one of them.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a treatment that uses a series of removable aligners that are nearly invisible and custom-made to meet the specific needs of individual patients. To put it simply, Invisalign is an aesthetic alternative to traditional fixed braces and allows you to straighten your teeth without any wires or metal in your mouth.

The aligners need to be changed every one or two weeks, as they move your teeth in stages until they are in the desired position. This is a comfortable and discrete system with little to no disruption to your daily life. Invisalign is always fully customized, and the aligners are created especially for you.

Invisalign is a great option for people who don't feel comfortable wearing fixed, metal braces for months or years on end.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

The main benefits of this type of treatment include having your teeth straightened in a short period of time. The treatment works for both your top and bottom jaws, and the way it's designed means that you can hide the braces from the untrained eye. This is particularly important for people who have busy social or work lives because they make them feel less conscious when speaking.

Because these devices are removable, you can take them out to eat or for special occasions, which means that they can be an excellent fit for your particular lifestyle.

Invisalign can help with multiple orthodontic issues, including crowding, teeth prominence, open bites and crossbites, as well as spacings and gaps.

What are the treatment stages of Invisalign

There are several stages to get your teeth straightened with Invisalign. You start by having a consultation with one of our dentists at J Han Dental Design. We will assess your oral health and make sure that your jaws and gums are both healthy enough for orthodontic treatment. This is also a stage where we'll let you know whether you need any general care, such as fillings, for example. We will take an impression of your teeth along with photographs of your smile.

Next, you will need another appointment to review your digital treatment visualization. If you are happy with the video we show you the practice, your aligners will be put into production.

Approximately two weeks later, you will be fitted with your first set of aligners and we'll make sure that you are happy with how they feel. We'll also give you all the information you need about when to wear and how to maintain your aligners. You will need a new pair of aligners approximately every two weeks and then move to the next aligners in the sequence.

Once your treatment is complete, you will receive fixed or removable retainers, which you have to wear because teeth may gradually revert to their original position over time.

Invisalign® FAQ

Does the Invisalign treatment hurt?

Just like in the case of any other orthodontic treatment, it is common to feel a slight discomfort at times with Invisalign. However, this treatment is more comfortable than standard braces because there are no wires or metal brackets to irritate your lips and cheeks.

Are there any diet restrictions with Invisalign?.

You should wear your Invisalign aligners all day and night but remove them for eating. It's okay to drink water with your aligners in, but you should avoid other drinks such as coffee or tea because they may cause greater discoloration to your teeth since the alignments hold the drink in contact with the teeth for longer. You should also avoid drinking any sugary drinks with the aligners because the sugar will remain in contact with your teeth and cause decay.

How long does Invisalign treatment last?

The length of the treatment depends on your personal circumstances, but you should expect it to last between 6 to 12 months. We will be able to give you a better estimate of your initial appointment.
